Tyla makes Barack Obama’s Favorite Music of 2023 list

Barack Obama is a fan of South African music, as evidenced by his 2023 Favorite Music list.

Tyla, the Grammy-nominated singer, shines on the list with her hit song “Water.”

“Here are some of my favorite songs from this year. Let me know if there are any artists or songs I should check out,” the former US president captioned his list of over 20 songs.

Tyla expressed excitement as it’s always been a dream for her to feature on the list.

“Always wanted to be on this list,” she wrote.

The amapiano genre was fully represented on the list as the hit yano songs by Nigerian artists, Davido and Asake were on the list – Unavailable and Amapiano respectively.
